Day 2 of my week furlough. It has given me the opportunity to understand in greater depth, detail and clarity that even when I am not actively working, my mind wanders towards work. Most often, this does not lead to engaging/enhancing or even productive time. It leads to email scrolling and quasi organizing with layers of heavy rabbit trails down inane internet holes.
I did mange to still accomplish this even without any access to work to a significant extent by ‘organizing’ my various outside ‘work’ activities including here, @ .us, @ sarah’s, @ HFE, plus looking for more great domains, like .irish or .fun, because why would I stop at my current eight domains?
I do think that all those things bring richness to my life and hopefully to others, yet that also bring distraction and distance. Again I believe, which means that one would know these are my believes through my behavior, not through solely words, that distance and distraction should be valued.
And as K has mentored me so well in, balance in all things allows for all things to be [balanced] at peace.
I need a little more writing, cleaning, sitting, thinking, engaging, loving and a little less ‘organizing’.
